The sternite is basally bent approximately at right angle, and this restrict the choice to four species: nigricornis, dusmetiolus, scoticus and oviventris. A. scoticus has only terga 1 to 3 with yellow markings and can be ruled out because your specimen has markings on terga 1 to 5. A. oviventris can be ruled out too because it's a dark species with very narrow marking on abdominal terga. If tergum 2 has a basal concavity (like here) and shoulders form an acute angle then it is A. nigricornis, if tergum 2 hasn't the concavity and shoulders are rounded it is A. dusmetiolus. |
