Oggetto del messaggio:  Ancistrocerus parietum (Linnaeus, 1758) - Vespidae

The genus Ancistrocerus has 20 species in Europe, with this one being described by Linne. It has a specific shape of transversal carina of T1, with a wide incision and elevated ridges on the incision sides (as opposed to several other species that have a semi-circular carina with very narrow slit, with retaining carina circularity). As all Vespidae, it shows some colouring variability, as shown in the last photo, where four specimens from the same locality are shown.
