sotto pietra

tre dimensioni molto differenti mm 3 - mm 7 - mm 11 credo tutte operaie
la più piccola presenta un peziolo differente, a dir il vero quasi inesistente...

On first two photos is Camponotus aethiops of subfamily Formininar, on third photo is a member of different subfamily Dolichoderinae - Tapinoma sp.

Nuovamente grazie Lech... avevo il sospetto che si trattasse di altra specie, avevo notato la forma del peziolo differente, ma la cosa strana è che si trovavano entrambi le specie sotto la stessa pietra...

A me capita spesso di trovare formicai anche di 3 o 4 specie diverse sotto la stessa pietra; a volte, sollevandola ho creato incidenti diplomatici e battaglie, se le specie sono aggressive.

In Fauna d'Italia per la Sardegna solamente Tapinoma (Tapinoma) simrothi Krausse, 1911 (Si, Sa)

mentre la più recente Fauna Europaea:

Tapinoma erraticum erraticum (Latreille, 1798)

Tapinoma simrothi simrothi Krausse, 1911

The very deep clypeal emargination suggests Tapinoma simrothi, but generally the genus is very difficult to identify and the best characters are male genitalia.
