I think this is a Camponotus nylanderi, a nocturnal ant quite common in southern Italy. C. ligniperdus (a mountain ant in Italy) has a brown mesosoma and first gastral tergite but the head and legs are black and the clypeal shape is different. Ciao! Maurizio |

You are right Maurizio! I completely forgotten that in Italy occurs C. nylanderi. |
