One big black Cephalotes from Puerto Viejo. Is it posible to tell the species?

Cephalotes cordiventris (Santschi, 1931) http://www.antweb.org/specimenImages.do ... antwebants Le zampa anteriore destra c'è, la vedo. E' solo coperta dalla placca pronotale ma si intravede nello spiraglio tra capo e pronoto. La sinistra... potrebbe esserci ed essere coperta o anche non esserci, chissà!? I Cephalotes hanno proprio queste placche dorsali molto "coprenti". Non a caso il nome volgare è "formiche tartaruga". |
