This is not Myrmica rubra. Shape of base of antennal scapus (with distinct sharp angle) and broad frons suggests rather Myrmica scabrinodis. In Myrmica rubra base of antennal scape forms an soft arch, without angle. But members of Myrmica are very difficult to identification not only from photos but also in hand. |

Thank you very much! I'm happy that is a Myrmica, however, it's one of the first ants I'm trying to identify... |
