This is a specimen of the interesting species Harpalus (Semiophonus) signaticornis (Duftschmid, 1812). :birra:

The subgenus was initially ranged within Ophonus, for the evident punctate and pubescent upper side of the body, but later studies on larvae seemed to show that is is more closely allied to Harpalus. My opinion is that probably it constitutes a sort of "link" between the two and that any definite position is ideological, in the sense that it gives priority to some features upon others on tho only basis of the personal opinion of the author.

Have a good night ;)
