 hi ilja it seems that there is no distinct pubescence on elytra*, yet from the picture i cannot be sure... could you make a picture taken obliquely, to show clearly that? * Cymindis (of course  ) are never really glabrous, they may just have a thin micropubescence, only visible at high magnification, or have a distinct, dense pubescence, clearly visible even at low magnification

hi ilja Cymindis (s. str.) axillaris (Fabricius, 1794) s.l. note: "s.l." because at present, C. axillaris is treated as a monotypic species, not even to be divided into subspecies; i'm not persuaded at all, i suspect that some of the taxa lumped under "axillaris" may even be not conspecific |
