I found yesterday this small carabid (~ 7 mm) under a piece of wood.

The flat eyes make me think of a P. ovoideus (Sturm, 1824), although a size of 7 mm is very small. Have a nice day

hi alexandru i agree this is very likely Pterostichus (Phonias) ovoideus (Sturm, 1824); for confirmation, look at tarsi laterally, in ovoideus the onychium is glabrous beneath, in diligens or strenuus is setulose |
