This is from 25 July - about 18mm. Any suggestions what it might be? Matthew

This seems to me Bothriopterus (formerly Pterostichus) oblongopunctatus. I am far from my reference library, so I do not remember if Bothriopterus is still considered a subgenus of Pterostichus or if it is regarded as a distinct genus. In my opinion it should be regarded as a separate genus, but it is not a simple matter. Regards
