Un gran cicindelido paleartico. De hábitos nocturnos, pero que puede capturarse de día, bajo piedras, ramas, etc. Está presente en el SE de la Península Ibérica, especialmente entre Murcia y Alicante. El ejemplar fotografiado fue capturado en las salinas de Santa Pola, Alicante. J. Ferrero leg.
