This Cerambyx sp. was around 50mm, from Catalunya, at 450m, 8 July. Any suggestions on the species would be great! Matthew

a bigger photo and if possible a crop to see better the tip of elitrae will be nice  cosmln |

if possible can you make also a crop to see the tips of elitrae, if there is a sutural spine or this are rounded/blunt, if I see well there is a sutural spine but if possible... cosmln |

Hola; soy Ángel Martínez, de Málaga (Sur de España). Yo creo que el ejemplar de la foto es Cerambyx cerdo, pero no Cerambyx miles. Razones: las antenas son largas y los primeros antenómeros no son especialmente gruesos; el ápice elitral es el propio de Cerambyx cerdo, con las suturas elitrales alcanzando el extremo de los élitros sin separación; y, principalmente, por la falta de carenas transversas en el pronoto, el cual presenta un relieve claramente reticulado. Aún no existe una buena fotografía de un Cerambyx miles español; quizá haya que revisar el estatus de dicha especie en la Península Ibérica.
