Dear friends,
I think it is not possible to give a reliable determination of one Dorcadion based on a picture.
This specimen could even be Dorcadion (Pedestredorcadion) krueperi Ganglbauer, 1884 (not 1883), but such an elytral pattern is shared by different species from Greece.
Please note - I do not accept the synonymy between Pedestredorcadion and Cribridorcadion since based on a single character examined on a too small number of species (less than 30% of described species; less than 10% of 75 taxa from Iberian Peninsula). Pedestredorcadion has recently been correctly restored from synonymy with Cribridorcadion (Pesarini & Sabbadini, 2010); both taxa are regarded as subgenera of Dorcadion.

Riccardo, let` s start with them ! :) We need more people who gonna do some seriously work. That` s why is in here so big mess...


Gianfranco, after a couple of days playing with Ivos` s picture deduced this end. Sure it could be something else, but I would say, its Pedestredorcadion ;) krueperi.

Gianfranco, I m waiting for that Andrea`s work. Cant wait what they` ve done.
