Cosmin, I do not see any longitudinal furrow on the vertex; T. castaneum has one; are you sure it is not T. gabrieli:? |

looking more from the back the furrow is there, even if not very distinct. anyway I have ended on castaneum because of the relative rare punctuation on the pronotum and also because there are areas without punctuation (keying with Bense, 1995)... posting a detail of pronotum. Later edit: will be nice to be gabrieli, from what I know was not yet found in Romania |
