Agapanthia osmanlis Reiche, 1858 - nice species from Balcan peninsula, in last years expanding northwards, very common in Hungary, recently found in southern Slovakia / specie piacevole dalla penisola balcanica, negli ultimi anni l'espansione verso nord, molto comune in Ungheria, ha recentemente trovato nel sud della Slovacchia

This species occurs in pupals cells already in january or you have fed the larva until pupa?

I have found praepupae and pupae in their pupal cells in April, adults hatched during the May. / Ho trovato praepupae e pupe nelle loro celle pupe nel mese di aprile, gli adulti nati nel corso del mese di maggio..

Agapanthia osmanlis Reiche & Saulcy, 1858 develops in Dipsacaceae
In Hungary (and I think in Slovakia) in Dipsacus laciniatus L., in Turkey I found on Cephalaria procera. :ok:

is mentioned the name of the host plant at the first photo: "Dipsacus lacinatus L. - host plant / pianta ospite".
in Romania I have found adults also on Dipsacus fullonum (=Dipsacus sativus)
