Hello, i'm new! Reading this forum since a few weeks and i think it's great!  Can anybody help me to identify this species of Dorcadionini? I took these photos during an excursion to Bosnia and Herzegowina in the mountains of Jahorina (at 1800m altitude). Length is 13 mm. Ciao!

Hi Lenny, First of all welcome to this Forum. I confirm the identification of Isotomus (Gianfranco): arenarium ssp. abruptum. We (Gianfranco and me) are working on a revision of whole arenarium group. Now I'm asking you to have the opportunity to study your specimens from Pale or other places from BiH. Hello together, thank you a lot for quick and precise determination!!!  Dear Gianfranco and Pierpaolo, i appreciate your work and i will try to give you every information you need. Unfortunately this is the only specimen of Dorcadionini i found during my short activity in collecting beetles. So i fear the information will be less significant. Ciao |
