Wow!! Nice beetle. But looks like Pilemia serriventris Holzschuh, 1984 , but this species is endemic for Bulgaria..
The beetle on your photo has very well distinct "golden" stripes on elytrae, which Pilemia tigrina usualy doesn´t have.. I have colected some 20 specimen of P. tigrina in Hungary and not a single one has these stripes..

Pilemia serriventris Holzschuh, 1984

yes, this was my first thing that come in my mind. not prepared yet the genitalia (never prepared one at a cerambycid) but on the sternit 1 and 2 is that median elevation (at least in the only key that I have is mentioned that [Bense, 1995]).

will be great to receive any tips to prepare the genitalia from what I have seen is not so easy like on Scarabaeidae fro example.

anyone has in collection Pilemia serriventris Holzschuh, 1984 to check for that median elevation on s1 and s2 ???

In attesa dell'intervento di Gianfranco Sama, ti segnalo questo recentissimo lavoro (2010): AN OVERVIEW ON THE PALAEARCTIC SUBGENUS PHYTOECIA (PILEMIA) FAIRMAIRE, 1864..., dove sono elencate tutte le specie paleartiche e sono presenti foto e disegni, anche dei particolari morfologici che cerchi (Fig. 10).

also a photo of the penis (just extracted, now in alcohol together with the rest of pieces, sternit...)
after genitalia will be more on P.inarmata or P.tigrina.

any comments are welcome.
hope that tomorrow will be again in the area and try to find some more specimens.

is possible to change the subject, maybe will attract more attention.

I think, that now there is no doubt: it is Pilemia tigrina.

and two other photos showing the sternites from lateral view and a detail on elitra from dorsal view (there are some erect hairs like on inarmata... but on inarmata that excrescences will be absent)

been again there today in the field, found another specimen of this Pilemia.
been there only for a short time and some other good species where found... just want to mention Onthophagus (Palaeonthophagus) kindermanni Harold, 1877. I hope that tomorrow will find some more specimens and will succeed to take some photos also.

and.... need help with this Pilemia.

This weekend, if I have more time, I will try to prepare male genitalia of Pilemia tigrina (from SE Hungary) and Pilemia angusterufonotata Pic, 1952 (= Pilemia inarmata) from Peloponese. I will make some photos and then we will see..

Dear Cosmin and dear all,
sorry for the long delay, but I am just coming back from a three weeks collecting trip in Iran.
The Pilemia tigrina species group was revised by Holzschuh (1984) who pointed up the distinguishing characters: first abdominal sternites with (P. serriventris and P. maculifera) or without (P. tigrina and P. inarmata) prominent teeth; median lobe apically elongated (P. tigrina and P. inarmata) or simply rounded or moderately acuminate (P. serriventris and P. maculifera). Based on your photographs (median lobe and abdominal sternites) your specimens belong to P. tigrina (Mulsant, 1851) already known from Romania.
To be noted that, according to Danilevsky (in Loebl & Smetana, 2010), Pilemia inarmata Holzschuh, 1984 and Pilemia maculifera Holzschuh, 1984 (described in the mentioned revision), are synonyms of Pilemia breverufonotata Pic, 1952 and Pilemia angusterufonotata Pic, 1952 respectively. I do not totally agree with this proposal because, in my opinion, Pic described these taxa (as well as P. laterufonotata) (= P. griseomaculata Pic, 1891) only based on more or less extended or reduced pronotal red spot (breverufonotata, laterufonotata, angusterufonota) therefore of infrasubspecific value.
On the other hand, I was obliged to regard Pilemia hladilorum Holzschuh, 2006 = Pilemia hirsutula var. holtzi Pic, 1952 as synonyms of Pilemia hirsutula moreana (Breuning, 1943), described as Blepisanis (sic !).
