Dear Ivo, in my opinion: nr. 1 Trcihoferus griseus (Fabricius, 1792) nr. 2 Trichoferus fasciculatus senex Wollaston, 1854 How do you colelcted them? Is it possible to have more details about the localities? If the identification of the nr.1 is right I believe that it is the first record for the Canary Island. To be sure it is necessary to check the specimen. Best, Pierpaolo |

My opinion is: 1) Trichoferus fasciculatus (Faldermann, 1837) ssp. senex Wollaston, 1854 2) Trichoferus machadoi Sama et Schurmann, 1983 (dense pubescense on elytrae and thorax) As I remember: Aguamansa - village above Orotava, northern coast, almost only vineyards, orchards and gardens Tamaimo - above Puerto de Santiago - typical suculent bush |

From castanea is impossible griseus (only Ficus) so it is fasciculatus senex Wollaston, 1854 The second one? Pierpaolo |
