Thank you very much, Lech! I probably have other 5 species in a differente genus very close to this one. I'll take picture when possible (sorry for the bad preparation, but I think they were killed in ethanol 90%). |

My PhD student Joanna Pomorska is just working on a revision of African Cryptonychini thus the group is well known to us. Here is link to the recent world catalogue of Hispinae by C.L. It is a member of Curculionoidea not Chrysomeloidea, very strange. I never seen similar beetle but had collected in Ecuador some very mysterious curculionids of similar shape. Please send the photo to Marek Wanat (wanatm@biol.uni.wroc.pl). He has a good experience in many exotic groups of Curculionoidea. |
