E' la comune Cassida algirica?
La cosa curiosa è che l'ho vista aggrappata anzicchè alle solite carduacee, su una foglia di Ficus carica....

 Un'altra specie di Cassida data per dubbia in Sicilia dalla Cheklist..... Qualche giorno fa ho postato una Cassida cfr nobilis (specie dubbia per la Sicilia...) viewtopic.php?f=146&t=6950 trovata sempre nello stesso posto, ma purtroppo non ho subito raccolto esemplari. Cosa che ho fatto qualche giorno dopo, ma a quanto pare sulla stessa pianta ho trovato una specie affine, la C. vittata (viewtopic.php?f=146&t=6989) e probabilmente (porterò a breve qualche esemplare a Sparacio per una diagnosi definitiva di persona....) a questa specie si riconducono gli esemplari che ho raccolto finora..... Ps Thanks lech  , you know tell me the characteristic of this distinctive species?

Cassida deflorata with C. alpina, C. rubiginosa, C. algirica and C. palaestina forms a group of species well characterised by a narrow clypeus. C. palaestina is well distinguished by its yellow femora while in remainder species they are black basally. C. algirica is the smallest species witn length usually below 6.5 mm while deflorata, alpina and rubiginosa are usually distinctly larger. They are very difficult to identify (in my opinion C. rubiginosa is a group of sibiling species and some mediterranean forms should be validate to species rank; they differ in larvae but the idea needs verification based on genetic studies). C. deflorata at first glance differs from rubiginosa and algirica in interspaces of punctures on clypeus with indistinct microreticulation thus surface of clypeus appears more or less shiny, whily in both realtives the space is distinctly microreticulate, dull. C. deflorata is slightly slimmer than C. rubiginosa, usually without dark spot on suture behind scutellum (at most only sutural margin has two short dark stripes), while in C. rubiginosa postscutellar spot is usually distinct (in more than 80% specimens in each population) and broad. Dorsal surface in C. rubiginosa looks usually much dull than in C. deflorata (but the character is well visible only by comparision with series of properly identified specimens). C. alpina is more similar to C. deflorata than C. rubiginosa and is well distinguished by its montane habitat. |
