Probably female of Bruchus laticollis (if sides of pronotum without denticles). |

An addition to my note: see shape of pronotum of Bruchus loti on my photos: http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/Colpolo ... 20loti.htm Bruchus loti belongs to the group of species with pronotum campaniform, only slightly wider than long while B. laticollis has pronotum transverse, distincly wider than long with regularly rounded sides. Both species has dorsal vestiture uniform, without spots of light pattern, a quite rare character within the genus. Unfortunately, your specimen is female and this sex is not easy to identification from photos. |

Sì, è una femmina ed il pronoto è privo di denti laterali. Riguardandole si vede bene la differente forma del pronoto nelle due specie. Avevo usato le tabelle di A. Porta (solo maschi). L'alternativa era B. loti - B. laticollis. Dopo la tua indicazione ho controllato le tabelle della Fauna de France. Il Bruchus laticollis ha: "Tête munie en arrière d'une ligne transversale bien distincte". Nell'esemplare la linea è presente (è visibile anche nella 2° fotografia). Ciao Giuseppe |
