Io l'avevo identificato come janthinus, ma non ne ero convinto. Comunque grazie. Mario |

It can't be Cr. janthinus because he has no flattened margins of pronotum and has much shorter antennae; male of C. janthinus has yellow anterior margin of pronotum (your specimen is probably a male due to elongate first tarsal segment of fore tarsi). Compare: http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/Colpolo ... thinus.htm Cr. marginatus, male is a better choice: http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/Colpolo ... inatus.htm Cryptocephalus parvulus is also possible but has very strong pronotal punctation: http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/Colpolo ... rvulus.htm Unfortunately in your photo details of pronotal punctation are invisible. Cr. androgyne is also similar, but I don't know if this species is recorded from Italy; this is a northern species: http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/Colpolo ... rogyne.htm |
