Bruchidius varipictus cannot be excluded from this photo as well. B. murinus and B. varipictus are very similar and females in particular are difficult to identify. The specimen in the photo has yellow front and middle tarsi and this charcater points to B. varipictus because B. murinus has almost always black tarsi. |

Thank you very much, Lech. I have been checking the front and middle tarsi and I see that there is a black pattern in the lateral margins of the 1º (only at the posterior part), 2º and 3º segments of tarsi. The last segment is totally black. It is very similar to this image: https://www.kaefer-der-welt.de/bruchidi ... orus_2.htm. So, I think that it could be Bruchidius varipictus instead of B. murinus as you told me. Miguel Ángel |
