Si chiede la determinazione dei seguenti adulti di coleotteri Lunghezza 10 mm

Questo e l'altro paiono Agabus (alcuni trasferiti  al gn. Ilybius); ma oltre non riesco ad andare.Giorgio.

Esatto, si tratta di Dytiscidae Colymbetinae, come l'altro es. Genere Agabus o Ilybius, ma senza vedere l'esemplare è difficile andare oltre!

In my mind Agabus. The Abdomen is not arched enough for an Ilybius. In Centraleurope it would be most probably A. bipustulatus, but I don't know the italian fauna and at least there are similar species'. Ciao Klaas |

Certamente potrebbe essere Agabus bipustulatus, però sarebbe necessaria per lo meno una foto ingrandita della scultura elitrale per confermarlo. Francesco puoi farla? Si devono vedere le maglie della scultura che, in A. bipustulatus sono essere tipicamente molto allungate.

Hi Klaas, I have understood what you think, but italian specialists of Colymbetinae have recently accepted the transfer in genus Ilybius of some species as Agabus pederzanii and Agabus pseudoneglectus (some I remember now): if you check, the shape is totally similar to others Agabus: I told about these species. Until now I can't recognize the external differences between new Ilybius and old Agabus. The two gnn were well separated before (at least for italian species). Giorgio.
