Aphodius (Chilothorax) pictus Sturm, 1805
Rare coprophagous species inhabiting mainly open areas (steppes, fields, meadows and pastures) and prefering especially horse excrements. It is known in the former Czechoslovakia from a few isolated localities in Bohemia, from central and southern Moravia, western Slovakia (only four records) and the former East Slovakian Region (single record). The adults are active mostly in November.
