It is a male of the genus Melinopterus (Aphodiinae). If the apical spur of fore tibiae is truncate apically and obtusely hooked inward, the species is M. prodromus. Otherwise it could belong to one of the two closely related Turkish species, i.e. M. hirtipes and M. reyi.
