This Trichius sp. is from Cantabria, northern Spain. Is this T.fasciatus or another species? Any advice welcome. Matthew

 I think it may refer to (penso possa trattarsi di) Trichius rosaceus rosaceus (Voet, 1769).Sicuramente non รจ il fasciatus!

It's almost impossible to determine Trichius species by elytral pattern. If You have a specimen this link: http://www.coleo-net.de/coleo/texte/trichius.htm and a file in attachment should help.
