Hi everybody  One of my friends have found this beetle recently, Unfortunately it's not clear about date and region, just it is from Canada..  Is it Colophon sp.?  Would you please advise me? Before so thanks to all of you for your helps  Cheers Sara

What is the size? Rhomborhina (s.str.) resplendens (Swartz, 1817) 27- 30 mm...............China Rhomborhina (s.str.) resplendens chatanayi Bourgoin, 1916 37 - 43 mm................N.Vietnam,N.Thailand

This is a specimen included in resin. Usually these items are produced in Southeast Asia, and sold throughout the world as a key ring or ornaments. I have the same opinion about the species. Surely it doesn't live in Canada! |

Qui ne vedi una serie infinita in vendita su Ebay. Ne ho pure uno io con un Buprestide thailandese, che ho comprato al mercatino vicino casa. Questo in particolare è uno di quelli di forma rotonda, con la base in plastica bianca, proprio come alcuni che vendevano a Entomodena mi pare l'anno scorso. |

Hi, Infact I didn't see this sample personally and just I have a picture about that. And my friends wants to ID it... But I think you both are right.. and it is into the resin..
