Sul web non trovo traccia di Besgonak. Se si tratta di Beskonak, lungo il Koprulu Canyon (dove abbiamo dormito presso quei brutti ceffi... ti ricordi?  ), siamo nella zona di Protaetia besucheti.Diversamente, potrebbe anche essere una P. angustata angustula, presente in Turchia con la ssp. angustula |

Ricordo bene il posto dei brutti ceffi, per mangiare ci eravamo spostati (con pochissima benzina nel serbatoio) in modo da evitare i pesci di fiume che volevano propinarci ad ogni costo per cena....

già, pesci di fiume oppure pollo. Stesso menù che abbiamo trovato dopo 15 KM di sterrata  , quasi persi in mezzo al bosco che era già buio. Però tu hai trovato due Aplidia la mattina dopo

Hi, In Turkey, you can find P. angustata angustata, P. angustata orientalis and P. angustata angustula (I haven't found very clear reasons for separating this last subspecies...). If you can show us an aedeagus, it will be very easy ta give you a good ID. Regards, Stéphane |

According to the Smetana & Smith (Catal. Paleart) taxa orientalis Alexis & Delpont 1996 and angustula Reitter 1898 are synonyms. The first name in addition, is not to be used since it is homonym of Protaetia (Calopotosia) orientalis (Gory & Percheron) |

HERE you can see some variations of P. besucheti. Honza, I think you specimen of besucheti isn't besucheti because of the white spots... Maybe P. cuprina ? A better foto with underside view could be helpfull. Regards, Stéphane |

Thank you for your determination Stéphane.I have in the collection P.ikonomovi Miksic, 1958 as a separate species, not as a subspecies.I now have 5 ex P.ikonomovi , I have not P. besucheti.
