Hi Guido  This pattern is very similar to P. splendidula, but I was confused by the fact that the process of mesothorax has a different shape than the P. splendidula. I think that it is still P.splendidula Note the fact:the concept of P. splendidula fairly wide and have yet to figure out how many taxa actually contains a concept? Pay attention to the fact that: the concept of P. splendidula fairly wide and it is not known how many taxa contains of P.(s. lato) splendidula ? |

Hmm  .... I doubt this sample belonging to ssp. diademata ... in the ssp. diademata white spots are more advanced, the body is slightly narrower and the area lies mainly on Iran.I am inclined to think that this is a rare aberration (the status of which remains to be seen, perhaps subspecies) P. splendidula splendidula ab. persplendens (Reitter, 1891). |
