Ciao tutti!

Is this Geotrupes mutator Marsham, 1802 ? Since it has 9 striae between its shoulder and scutellum and has a green-copper shine on its underside, on the other hand it is much more round than G. mutator. What do you think?

I think this is a Sericotrupes niger (Marsham, 1802). ;)

Thanks for your respond. Don't you think it's elytra (especially it's interstriae) are too rough for G. niger?

I think it depends on the variability.
The ventral side leaves no doubt.

And females are more "rough" comparing with males.
