Hi ¡
I am not sure if this sp. is a Geotrupes, I have been comparing this sp with geotrupes from spain :

Geotrupes ibericus Baraud, 1958
Geotrupes mutator (Marsham, 1802)
Geotrupes puncticollis (Malinowsky, 1811)
Geotrupes stercorarius (Linnaeus, 1758)

but all of them have the elitra lines really visible. Another possibility is Jekelius or Thorectes.

Bests.

Now it is easy: Sericotrupes niger (Marsham, 1802).
By the way, Geotrupes puncticollis (Malinowsky, 1811) is a junior synonym of G. spiniger (Marsham, 1802).

Geotrupes: elytral striae very deeply impressed; elytral interstriae convex; upper surface more or less shiny.
Sericotrupes: elytral striae faintly impressed; elytral interstriae flat; upper surface not so shiny, almost silky.
