I have found adults today, but larvae where collecte in May 2010:

c'est absolument formidable !même si je m'occupe pas de lucanides... c'est pas même sûr que ça existe dans nos confins en italie... |

Splendid opportunity to make a mixed plate with both "lab" and "natural" pictures. Waiting to see the first one (pair is better) I have just this one in my files : Ma sarrebe megliore con una vicina femina ! |

Actually there is at least one recent record from Sasso Fratino (Emilia Romagna), which confirms the occurrence of Ceruchus chrysomelinus in Italy. A pair of C. chrysomelinus from Sasso Fratino is shown in the DVD (...Gomphus: you have a copy of the DVD!). |
