Trovato a Roma il 24-X-10. Si arriva alla specie? Lunghezza:8 mm

Potrebbe essere una femmina di Ontophagus (Paleontophagus) taurus,escluderei O.illyricus,oppure femmina di O.(P) verticicornis,dalla foto non si capisce molto bene,aspettiamo gli esperti del settore

Con un pò di ritardo, ecco altre due foto... sono suficienti per la determinazione (sinceramente la macchina fotografica non può fare meglio di così!)? |

è certo che non è O.verticicornis, guarda il pronoto. anche io penso che sia O.taurus. cosmln |

No no, il taurus non è un Palaeonthophagus. Quindi: Onthophagus (Onthophagus) taurus (Schreber, 1759). Probabilmente maschio minor. |
