A very interesting species, apparently a relict. According to my observations prefers average heights (1400-2000) mountains, a southern steppe xerophilous exposure. Imago lives in cow dung, the beetles caught in Armenia in early June and in September. Beetles dig burrows, making the stock of manure in the form of "pear". Rare species, but sometimes there are suitable places to 8 adults per square kilometer. females. Armenia, 01. 06. 2015
