Trovati 2 esemplari in un vecchio garage con pavimento sabbioso.
Misura=24mm

Very interesting and fine picture. Normaly A. italica show a supplementary dorsal costa. Seems also to be A. heydeni but this species is known from Morocco !! |

Gran bella foto Claudio  Non è una Akis, ma un genere vicino: Cyphogenia (Lechriomus) lucifuga (Adams, 1817) - Tenebrionidae Pimeliinae Akidini Comunque un reperto interessante. Io la conoscevo solo di Anatolia, ma vedo che era già citata della Georgia nel Cat. Pal. Col.  CiaoPiero |

In my mind Cyphogenia is effectively a more south-oriental genus. Nevertheless but it's really fine looking like a species from the genus Cyphogenia. Very interesting finding indeed ! |

Very interesting finding indeed ! Hi Noel Fine to know. But it's a gender that i really don't knew. I collected the beetles just for his size and shape.  I brought the specimens to Entomodena yesterday and someone picked up one of them. Im sure it's in good hands.
