I had never seen larvae of Phaleria. Thank you very much. Do they live in the same conditions of adults? |

So this is the best low-budget solution for a macro photographer, i think.  However you need very good light conditions for photographing without a tripod. This species prefers the older seagrass-patches in distance to spray zone so they can dig in the dry sand. Ciao |

Thank you very much. Lenny. Le Phaleria erano molto comuni in tutte le coste sabbiose del Lazio, diversi anni fa, tanto che mi limitavo a raccoglierne qualcuna solo se mi sembrava strana, ma sono anni che non mi capita più di vederne una. La continua pulizia della spiaggia per scopi balneari deve essere stata disastrosa per queste specie. |
