Do you mean a beehive? A nest of bees? Or is it a mistake of the automatic translator?

Blaps gibba is surely the most common Blaps in Italy. The second one is Blaps mucronata, followed by Blaps gigas. Other few species living in Italy are now very scarse and/or localized, very difficult to find.

While B. gibba can be found almost everywhere, in the country, under stones, dead wood, hay bales, etc., and also walking around, especially in the evening and night, also in villages and towns, B. mucronata is usually found in archeological sites, ancient ruins, near old walls, in artificial caves, cellars. It's more nocturnal and much less common than gibba.

Perhaps I have some unprepared specimens somewhere, but I don't need a beehive!

You're right, this is a mistake.
I can offer some beetles from Poland :)

B. mucronata is here very rare.

Tc70, hhhm, could you know something about this Blaps? Why you write that this Blaps was found on 12.VIII.2009?
Could it mean that you have found it?
