So che non è facile determinare, a livello specifico, i rappresentanti del genere Sepidium. Dunque questo è destinato a restare senza nome? Sarebbe un vero peccato  La località in Tunisia, dove è stato raccolto da Andrea Corso, lo scorso 18 febbraio è: Ksar Hallouf (Oasi Wadi):  |

I collect some sp. of this genus in locality: NE Tunisia, Sousse pr.Friguia, 30km SSW of Hammamet, 13.-15.5.2006. |

Probabilmente è la stessa specie di cui ho inviato una foto di un esemplare in natura tempo fa (http://www.entomologiitaliani.net/public/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=258&t=4681&hilit=sepidium), e che nemmeno Piero si è azzardato a determinare, quindi temo che anche questo rimarrà come Sepidium sp. Dear Petr, I found some Sepidium also in Northern Tunisia, but they seem different from specimens from the South, so I think at least one different species, perhaps more, live in the North. |

krep ha scritto: I gave to my friend all my ex. . In first time thought I, that is it any sp. of Brachyceridae When I found the first specimen, 30 years ago, in NE Tunisia, near nabeul, I did the same mistake. It was a dead specimen under a stone, without head, prothorax and legs.

Ripropongo questa discussione per chiedere a Noel Mal (Malpertuis), che ha appena determinato questo Sepidium tricuspidatum della Tunisia, se è possibile arrivare ad una diagnosi specifica anche per questo esemplare

In my mind it's also S. tricuspidatum. This genere is not easy to determine in east mediterranean area. Some taxa as dathan, korah ...are to be synonymised and included in the phyllum of S. tricuspidatum. |
