Yes it looks like you are right. But this species isn't recorded from Turkey so far.I found this article:

Also for me it should be croceicollis, very distinctive species: in Faunaeur its presence is confirmed for Turkey, X.A. Vasquez in his "European fauna of Oedemeridae" 2002 shows its presence at least for european and Aegean Turkey. I don't know O. artvinensis, O. vilis s.l. and O. merkli (absent in Europe), being the last one, in the work of the link, only cited in last index but, if I am not wrong, in the text!?

Oedemera merkli exists in Europe (European Turkey, north Greece), although no mentioned in X.A. Vasquez.
Has green pronotum, clearly differs from the insect here. See also at A. PORTA, (Volume IV, p. 9).
I agree for O. croceicollis.

Yes but if true it would be so strange, because its presence in Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Asian Turkey!

Thank's George for info but why FaunaEur doesn't report O. merkli? Maybe it is considered a synonym of other species?

To my knowledge, O. merkli is a true species: Included to the list of Lobl-Smetana.
Was interested for this species, after 2010, when I found my unique specimen in Greece.
I do not know why there isn't in Fauna Europaea.
There is the work of Seidlitz at the Internet, about this species (https://archive.org/stream/naturgeschic ... 4/mode/2up).
Unfortunately I do not have the newest work of Švihla (1999).
ciao,
George :hi: :hi:
