This Plinthus was under rocks on the greek side of the amazing Kaimaktsalan. Comments are welcome.

This belongs to the Plinthus squalidus complex. However, this complex is composed of several different species, some of which are thus far undescribed. This might be one of the new species.

Hello! thank you for your comment. I have several new species of Plinthus from various parts of the range of the genus, including from Greece, but at present I have no time for studying them. Moreover, the P. squalidus group is a very complex one, and it should be revised in its entirety. I have this project in my mind, but not for the immediate future.

I looked with more attention. This is a specimen of Plinthus dardanicus Meregalli, 1985. This species was described of the Šara Planina, Makedonia. Sorry for misidentification, it's always difficult basing only on a photo! Even though I should have known... But many years passed!

Thank you very much, for your answer. My colleague, Attila Podlussány think it is Plinthus problematicus, but I will tell him, to check it again!

Allright, if you have time for this revision-project, please remember, we have big material from Greece, from the last years, in our museum, in Budapest.
