Coniocleonus (Plagiographus) megalographus (Fahaeus, 1842)
o
Coniocleonus (Plagiographus) nigrosuturatus (Goeze, 1777)

....uno dei due non mi sembra ci sia in Turchia! :?
Controllo. :ok:

P.S. - Grazie al recente prezioso contributo del caro Massimo Meregalli.
Azzarderei Coniocleonus (Plagiographus) nigrosuturatus (Goeze, 1777)
Ma bisogna sentire anche altri pareri.

It's a specimen of Coniocleonus pseudobliquus (J. Müller 1921).

Hello!

in C. nigrosuturatus the median keel of the pronotum is clealy extended into the basal groove, in C. pseudobliquus the keel is interrupted before the groove. In C. megalographus the white stripe on dorsum of pronotum is angularly broadened and the black stripe on elytra is weakly oblique, broader and sharper (stripe of pronotum and pattern of elytra more or less like in C. excoriatus). It is always difficult to differentiate C. pseudobliquus from C. megalographus, and I haven't checked genitalia so far. In Anatolia the former is relatively widespread.

Checking with more attention, I cannot exclude that this specimen is C. megalographus. As I said, distinction is difficult even under the stereomicroscope. But I do not have any other records from the eastern Medditerranean for this species, thus I will not use it for the catalogue.
I take the chance to say once again that any identification based on a photograph must ALWAYS be taken with much, much caution, and in general they should NOT be used for any formal addition to the fauna of a country or any similar information.
