Ci provo solo, perchè queste bestie non le ho mai toccate!  Sembrerebbe un esemplare un po' deforme di Otiorhynchus ovalipennis Boheman, 1843.....ma non mi quadra la scultura elitrale e l'apparente assenza di peli/setole. ....il subgenere credo comunque che sia Melasemnus

At last, the problem of the identity of this Otiorhynchus seems to have been solved, in a credible way. Just a few days ago, this article was published by Piotr Bialooki: http://muzeum.bytom.pl/wp-content/uploa ... ine007.pdf So, it is Otiorhynchus (Melasemnus) laevipennis Strl., 1888 [ex subgenus Rimenostolus]. Our friend FORBIX had correctly identified the similarity of the specimen here, with Otiorhynchus (Melasemnus) ovalipennis !!!  George |
