Very beautiful !!! Seems as member of the genus Systates ("Peritelini" at present...). With 6 palaearctic species (4 in Arabian peninsula and 2 in Soqotra island). Bello caspita! Dovrebbe essere un Sysastes. Confrontandolo con l'iconografia di Rheinheimer 2003, sembrerebbe Systates omanicus Rheinheimer, 2003, ma non conosco per nulla queste bestie. Ti mando in privato sia il lavoro di Voss (1962) che, appunto quello di Rheinheimer (2003). Per notizia...se nessuno lo sposta di li, insieme a Nematocerus (Yemen), si tratta di un Peritelino.  Mi ha fregato sul tempo il buon George!  ...allora ti mando solo il Voss |

Da cosa si capisce che è un Peritelino? Qualcuno me lo puole spiegare? Grazie.

In fact, this genus does not belong to Peritelini. It was initialy placed there in the 19th century, by the scientists of that era. Since then, probably no one has dealt with its exact taxonomic position. That's why it stays in the wrong group, because there is no a better proposition.

Of course everyone is right, it is Nematocerus omanicus, the commonest of the species described by Rheinheimer. It also obvious that the Afrotropical so-called Peritelini have nothing to do with our ones, but... who is putting himself in the present chaos of Entimine (or better Entimidae) tribes worldwide?
