Hello,

this remarkable slender 5 mm Polydrusus is from may from near Lecce. Because of the unclear bordered antennal furrow I get to the (former) subgenus Tylodrusus. On the other hand the eyes are too big, and the temples are too short.

Anything possible here?

Grazie,
Michael

I once again looked at this specimen, and I am now rather convinced that I misinterpreted the formation of the antennal scrobe, an that it is a Polydrusus (Conocetus) calabricus, a species that seems to be not rare in south Italia. For the subgenus Conocetus there is a nice review of Christoph Germann.

Ciao,
Michael
