Ciao a tutti :hi:

I would like to have your opinion on these guys. I can't see any difference in outer appearance between the right one and the one in the center. So maybe right and central one are S. longipes and left one is S. comma or biguttatus, but I don't know about the variation of the aedeagi.

What do you think?

Best regards

Prova a confrontarli con i disegni da:
A. Bordoni (2004) - Atlante degli edeagi degli Stenus della fauna italiana - Boll. Soc. Ent. It. - 136 (II).

12 - biguttatus
13 - jarrigei
14 - longipes
15 - comma aeneiceps

The left one is S. comma, this species is distinctly more robust and usually larger than S. biguttatus or S. longipes.
Two others are most likely S. longipes. The elytral spots in this species are distinctly larger than those in S. biguttatus and slightly shifted posteriorly. Also, this species has more distinct (in comparison to S. biguttatus or S. comma), often bluish, metallic tint of dorsum.

Thank you very much! S. longipes for the right ones was also my opinion, especially because of position and size of the spots.
