Questo dovrebbe essere un maschio. Chissà a che servono quelle zone pelose sui femori posteriori? La femmina non le ha.

i femori ingrossati sono un carattere sessuale secondario maschile o sono presenti anche nelle femmine? le "spazzole" presenti sul lato interno dei femori hanno una particolare funzione? |

Sono ingrossati anche nelle femmine, ma sono la metà che nei maschi, e non hanno le "spazzole", che immagino abbiano una funzione, ma non so quale. Potrebbero anche essere organi in grado di emettere suoni, magari strusciandoli contro il bordo laterale delle elitre. Non ne ho idea. Altre specie dello stesso genere (almeno credo) hanno le spazzole di dimensioni e posizione diversa. |

le spazzole non potrebbero avere una funzione analoga a quella dei titillatori negli ortotteri ensiferi, ovvero durante la stimolazione della femmina durante l'atto copulatorio? |

Is this "X" on its head because of the lights or some objects when you took the picture? It looks like being a mark. |
