There are more than 30 species of Ampedus recorded from Turkey. The locality of this specimen makes me think that it could be one of the less common species. Is it possible to identify the species without genital examination?

According to the catalogue Tarnawski, Platia & Mertlik, 2018 the Ampedus species known from Turkey amount to 47! Impossible to determine your species from this picture! To arrive at least to the group it needs particulars of antennae, punctation of pronotum and where possible aedeagus.

It seems many more species have been recorded from Turkey since then.
