Still scratching my head about my Elateridae from Borneo, I wonder whether this one could be or not an Alaus sp.

Thank you, Anostirus, it is good to know!!!  But it was not my fault, I am "not guilty", because in an old publication on the Web (2010) the authors indicated a lot of Alaus species to be present in Borneo. They never corrected this since that time. Elateriden Katalog West und Südpaläarktis, einschließlich der Inseln Süd und Südostasiens und Nord Afrika bis August 2010, von M.Zeising. I realize from your information that either the indication of their presence in Borneo was a mistake, or that they have been renamed since then either Calais, Paracalais, or Cryptalaus. I will then track each of them to learn what is their present name.
