Ciao, Anche questo viene dal Peru. Un po di photoshop su questo, un tarso non era e un morso eliminato dal margine di elitra. Credo che sia un Silvanidae ma non sono sicuro. Tranne quelle spine su femori e interessante che e quasi transparente, qualla macchia su pronoto e interna. E posibile sapere di piu? Una foto piu grande qui. Grazie,  |

Hello!!! The tarsi are eteromeri (5-5-4), and the clypeus is different from Silvanidae. I think this belongs to Tenebrionidae family. An european somewhat similar species is Doliema turcica Rtt (Tenebrionidae, Diaperini tribe). Ciao a tutti, George |

Good observation  Searched for something on internet and found a checklist for Chile, and looking there without result searched also afther the epithet... a big MAYBE Caenocripticoides translucidus Kaszab, 1969. Even if Pimeliinae will not gave too much hopes seen several not typical Pimelia groups  .Per ora rinomino questo con ? - Tenebrionidae.

About Caenocrypticoides, there is a PDF in the NET, from 2004: http://www.biouls.cl/zoeco/publicacione ... es_new.pdf The photos there, is different from your, very beautifull specimen. George |

A ventral view could be usefull. I think could be' Neoplateia sp Marcuzzi, 1986 possibly an underscribed species
